What methods of payment do you accept?
We will accept Visa, Master Card and Online E-Transfer (please email us if you choose to use this method). All orders will be processed within 1-2 business days. Please expect your credit card to be charged within this time frame.
How long will it take to receive my order?
Our drapery and cushions are "made to order". This means that we order the exact
fabric you have selected on our website and have our own personal workroom make
them up exactly to your specifications. It generally takes around 2-3 weeks from time of
order to the time you receive the product. In unusual circumstances the turnaround time
may be longer (ex. if the fabric you have selected is backordered or if you have placed
your order during a busy season). We will notify you if your order is expected to take
any longer than our usual turnaround time.
What is your return policy?
Because each order is made to your exact specifications, all sales are final. We will not
accept returns or refunds unless the product is defective (i.e. defects in workmanship or
materials). Every order that is sent out to our customers is personally inspected by our
workroom as well as by one of our staff members to ensure that every single product
meets the criteria for our high standards of quality.
How do I know the length and width I should order my drapery
Please see measurement diagram below to learn how to measure your window. You
are responsible for submitting the accurate measurement when ordering. No returns will
be accepted if the drapes ordered do not fit your window. Note: we take measurements
*Please be aware that it is a fire hazard to cover any type of heater with drapery (i.e.
baseboard heater, radiator, etc.). If you have these types of heaters obstructing your
clearance, be sure to take the measurements so the bottom of the drape ends before
touching the top of the heater.
What if I want stationary panels?
We are happy to make stationary panels in all five of our styles. This kind of panel is
for decorative purposes only and does not move along the curtain rod. The standard
panel width is approximately 18 inches. Please click our "stationary panel" option when
creating your drapes on our Drape Details page. If you choose this option, the panel
width will automatically be entered for you and the only measurement we need is the
length in inches. It is customary for stationary panels to hang beside the window. Please note: stationary panels come as a single quantity. If you would like to order a pair, please change the quantity from 1 to 2 in your shopping cart.
What if I want functioning drapery?
Functioning drapery is a great alternative to blinds as it helps block out sunlight and
can give you privacy from your neighbours. This type of drapery slides along the curtain
rod and is available in all five of our styles. Please click our "functioning drapery" option
when creating your drapes on our Drape Details page and enter the width of your rod in
inches. Please see our measurement diagram below to see how to measure width.
What's the difference between split stack and side stack?
When choosing the split stacking option, the overall finished width of the drape will be divided in half, and the drapes will equally hang on both sides of the window. This is the traditional look of drapes. Use this kind of stack if you have a sufficient amount of space on both sides of the window for stacking when the drapes are opened. A right or left side stack is used when a window butts up to a wall, or there is some other obstruction beside the window that prevents the drape from opening on that side.
What Style of drapery should I select to match the look of my space?
We have several Styles for you to select from to fit the look you desire:
Grommet Panel - Modern and Simplistic
Beauty Pleat Panel - Casual and Comfortable
Pinch Pleat Panel - Traditional and Refined
Signature Pleat Panel - Simple and Classic
Tube Pleat Panel - Contemporary and Clean-Lined
How do my drapes hang on my rod?
The Pinch Pleat, Signature Pleat, Tube Pleat, and Beauty Pleat panels all come with a
hookset already attached behind the header. These drape styles require rings on your
curtain rod to attach the hookset to; your rod should come with these rings, but if not,
email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll be happy to send some with your
The Grommet Panel simply slides through the rod with sewn in rings; no additional rings
are needed. We offer a selection of these rings in different colours to match your fabric as seen below and you can specify which one in the checkout special requests.
Should my drapes stack on my window or beside my window when opened?
Every window location is different. If you have the space, add an additional 8 inches to the width on each side of your window measurment to allow room for stacking on the wall beside the window. If you don't have wall space on either side of the window, your drapes will stack on the window when opened. Where your drapes stack is a style preference and either way is acceptable. See the measurement diagram and instructions below.
What makes your drapery different than ready-made panels that can be bought in stores?
We pride our self on high quality and great customer service. Each one of our products
is made by hand from a highly trained and experience seamstress. All products come
from Canadian suppliers and are made at our workroom right here in Edmonton,
Alberta. Every item is personally inspected by our workroom as well as by one of
our staff members to ensure that every single product meets the criteria for our high
standards of quality. Please see our Quality page for comparisons.
What makes your drappery more affordable than ordering custom drapery from a designer at home?
We make our drapery the same quality as ordering from a designer in your community,
but what makes ours more affordable is you're measuring your window and hanging the
drapes; less labour means more money saved.
Do you have any accent banding or trim that I can add to my drapes or cushions?
Yes all drapes and cushions are fully customizable. If you are wanting to order something other than what our website allows please send an email to email@example.com and we will be happy to quote any "add-ons".
Can I order samples of a fabric that I may be interested in?
Yes, we are happy to mail out any fabric samples that you may want to see in person.
You can order up to 5 fabric samples free of charge. You can view all the fabrics on our fabrics page, and email firstname.lastname@example.org with the fabric category and name as well as your mailing address to get your free sample.
How do I know what type of lining to select?
We recommend using our blackout lining for all fabrics under our silk categories. This
lining adds fullness and a luxurious component to any thin/fine fabric so that the fabric
doesn't look limp when hanging on a rod. You can also use our blackout lining on all
our fabrics to keep sunlight out for maximum darkness. If you are looking for a fabric
that will let light through keep the drapery panels unlined. This will allow the sun to
shine through and show off the beauty and texture of the fabric. For all other panels we
recommend using our regular lining. This will protect the fabric from the harmful UV rays
that the sun gives off and will prolong the life of your drapes. Please note, lining is an additional charge.
I don't have a curtain rod, can I order one?
Yes, we are more than happy to give you the option to order a curtain rod from us.
Please call or email us at email@example.com and we'll send different options
and pricing to choose from. We will be selling rods on our website in the near future.
